Bee Pollen is often referred to as nature's most complete food. It is nature's true "superfood". There are many elements that your body needs every day and no one food contains them all . . . except bee pollen! It contains all the essential nutrients of life. Nutritional deficiencies are quite common today and bee pollen has all the nutrients that are needed for survival, except water. It contains more protein by weight than eggs, beef, or cheese. Bee pollen is rich in vitamins, complete proteins, free form amino acids, minerals, trace elements, fatty acids, carbohydrates, enzymes, and co-enzymes. Some researchers believe that bee pollen provides a better source of vitamins than any other single food.

As an alkaline food, bee pollen helps support healthy pH levels. With all its many nutrients, it's no wonder world class athletes consume bee pollen as a staple food in their daily nutritional regimen. As a food, bee pollen contains only 45 calories per ounce, or one heaping tablespoon. There is nothing else on the planet that is quite like bee pollen!

Nature's Perfect Superfood

One of the main reasons I (Fred Kaufman) was originally intrigued by bee pollen was due to the research of Dr. Nicolai Vasilievich Tsitsin, the chief biologist and botanist in the former USSR. He is also an acknowledged expert on geriatrics, the study of the elderly. He spent years traveling through Russia, studying the people that lived longer and were healthier than those in nearby populations. Dr. Tsitsin was amazed to find more than 200 people who were over 125 years old, all still working and very active. What was their secret? What was the one thing that they all had in common? After a considerable amount of investigation, he found their secret. They were all beekeepers! What was it about being beekeepers that was responsible for their extreme good health and longevity? They ate bee pollen mixed in honey every day!

You see beekeepers are like other farmers. They sell the best of what they produce and keep the less than perfect remainder for themselves and their families to eat. So they sold their best honey and scraped the bottom of the hives for the honey that they would consume. It just so happens that the honey that dripped to the floor of the hives, also contained a lot of bee pollen. Pollen is the male seed of flowers. It is required for the fertilization of the plant. The bee goes from flower to flower gathering the pollen and mixing it with a bit of honey it brought from the hive to form little granules. These granules, which we know as bee pollen, are taken back to the hive and then fed to the bee larvae. Without the bee's mysterious potion, the larvae would be unable to develop into bees. It is interesting and important to recognize that it takes one bee working eight hours a day for one month to make one teaspoon of bee pollen.

One very interesting aspect of bee pollen is that man has been unable to duplicate it in the laboratory. There is something very special in bee pollen that just cannot be identified and reproduced.

For thousands of years, cultures throughout the world have used bee pollen for health.

Here are some of the benefits of supplementing your diet with bee pollen:

  • • Helps support healthy endurance and vitality
  • • Helps support a healthy immune system
  • • Helps support healthy cholesterol levels
  • • Helps support healthy intestinal regularity
  • • Helps support healthy weight and reduce unhealthy cravings

Because bee pollen helps to support a healthy immune system it can seem like a genuine miracle for people suffering with myself. Bee pollen was the first dietary supplement I took, after suffering with allergies for 19 years. Finally, for the first time in my life, I felt wonderful, and was able to stop taking allergy shots.

Since some people (very rare) can be sensitive to bee pollen, it is suggested that you only take a few granules to start. Then gradually increase a ¼ teaspoon amount each day until you reach 2 teaspoons a day. This process takes 9 days. It is important to not increase too quickly. You may find that taking 1 teaspoon twice a day works better for you than 2 teaspoons all at once. As for children, 1/2 teaspoon twice a day would be sufficient, following the same suggestion of starting with a few granules, then increasing gradually.

Our bodies are unique and each person is different. Be sensitive to your body, and make adjustments if necessary. My wife (Kim) is allergic to bee stings and has no problem taking 2 teaspoons per day. However, she likes to split them up into 1 teaspoon twice a day. It just works better that way for her.

We considered sources from other countries such as New Zealand, Spain, Brazil, and Canada, but we didn't see where there was any increase in benefits versus the considerable increase in cost. Bee Gold is a blend of bee pollen from around the U.S. Every batch is tested and approved to contain no chemical sprays.

We do believe that since bee pollen is considered a natural food and therefore safe to consume, it is certainly worth giving Bee Gold a try.

Digestive Issues
I was having bloatiness and all the problems of digestion without going into the ugly details. After using the Bee Gold for about a week and a half, I started feeling relief. I used the recommended dose of 2 tsps. a day. I used one in the morning and one in the evening. My issues have not come back and I still continue to use Bee Gold.
